Friday 6th March – Gaura Purnima with Jaya Krishna das

Please come and celebrate with us on this auspicious occasion of the anniversary of the appearance of  the ‘Golden Avartar’ of Krishna – Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who appeared 533 years ago.

“Chaitanya Mahaprabhu? He is none other than the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, who appeared in the form of a devotee. His complexion is that of molten gold and hence he is called Gauranga. He appeared in Navadvipa, Bengal and established the religious principle for this age (yuga dharma) – Sankirtana, the congregational chanting of the holy names of Lord.”

We have a very special guest- Jaya Krishna das prabhu – a senior devotee from the Bhaktivedanta Manor temple in Watford. Jaya Krishna is famous for leading the Bhaktivedanta Players – the temple’s drama group. Jaya Krishna will be sharing his wisdom and experience in practicing Bhakti yoga for decades and has kindly agreed to speak on the topic of ‘Who is Lord Chaitanya’.

Please come for this wonderful mini festival with our usual enthusiastic chanting and dancing and prasadam feast.
