This Friday, as it's Rathayatra festival season, we will be discussing the special form of Lord Krishna - Jagannath, the Lord of the Universe.
Although Krishna is absolute and transcendental to material nature, to accept the loving service of His devotees He appears before us as the deity in the temple, in the form of stone, metal, wood, or paint. Jagannatha is a special wooden form of Krishna.
Originally appearing in Orissa, India, thanks to the blessings of Srila Prabhupada, A.C. Bhaktivendanta Swami, Jagannatha is now worshiped in temples all around the world, and with His famous Rathayatra festivals in cities all over the globe, devotees see Him as the most merciful and charming form who excuses His devotees’ mistakers and offenses and attracts them further along the path of devotional service.

“In that great abode known as Purushottama-kshetra, which is rarely achieved among all the three worlds, the Keshava Deity, who was fashioned by the Supreme Lord Himself, is situated. If men simply see that Deity, they are easily able to come to My abode.”
(Narada Purana)
As usual we will also have Kirtans (chanting with musical instruments) -the most effective method of self-realisation for this age- and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.
We look forward to seeing you there!
