Friday 27th January - His Holiness SB Keshava Swami Maharaj

This week we have a very special evening planned where we have an exalted guest visiting Hare krishna Fridays -His Holiness Svayam Bhagavan Keshava Swami (previously known as Sutapa Das). Maharaj is a spiritual author, community mentor, dynamic teacher and worldwide traveler. In 2002, after graduating from UCL with a BSc in Information Management, he adopted full-time monastic life to expand his knowledge, deepen his spirituality, and share these timeless principles with the wider society.

For over twenty years, Keshava Swami was a resident monk at the Bhaktivedanta Manor, the largest Radha Krishna Temple in the UK (purchased by George Harrison). There he pioneered the School of Bhakti, led the monastic training programme and drove forward national outreach projects. He has designed numerous courses on Vedic theology, lifestyle management, and spiritual self-development, and also authored ten books which bring the ancient wisdom into the modern context. In 2022, Keshava Swami accepted vows of lifetime renunciation and became a renounced travelling teacher of Krishna Consciousness and we are so pleased he has found time to visit us here in Brighton. Please join using this extra special evening for Kirtan - musical chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and a talk by Maharaj on 'Guru tattva' - the importance of Spiritual Guides.

As usual we will serve a Veggie/Vegan sanctified feast (prasādam).

Starts at the usual time of 19.30 at the Phoenix Community Centre.
