Friday 8th December - 'Fate, Free Will and You'

In the 7th Chapter of Bhagavad Gita, one of the most important spiritual & philosophical texts in the world, Krishna exclaims to his friend Arjuna: "O Arjuna, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, I know everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come. I also know all living entities; but Me no one knows." (BG 7.26)

This raises the question, that has been pondered by philosophers for centuries, do we have free will? Is everything pre-destined? Do we actually make free conscious choices? With the help of references to the Bhakti texts, local devotee Lochan das Thakur das will lead a talk and open discussion this week, examining this apparently perplexing topic.

As usual we will also have Kirtan (chanting with musical instruments) -the most effective method of self-realisation for this age- and finish with a Veggie/Vegan Spiritual Feast.

We look forward to seeing you there!
